The Madden NFL 27 99 Club is officially here, and six of the NFL’s biggest stars will open the new game with the highest overall rating possible.
This year’s group features two quarterbacks, two wide receivers, a tight end and one of the most dominant defensive players in football. For Madden Underground players, these ratings immediately change the conversation around which teams could become some of the most dangerous choices in Madden 27.
Josh Allen — QB, Buffalo Bills — 99 OVR
Josh Allen returns to the 99 Club and remains one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in Madden. His combination of elite arm talent, size and mobility gives Buffalo users an offense that can threaten defenses from almost anywhere on the field.
Matthew Stafford — QB, Los Angeles Rams — 99 OVR
Matthew Stafford enters Madden NFL 27 at the top of the quarterback ratings. For players who want to attack defenses vertically and win from the pocket, the Rams now have a 99-rated quarterback leading an offense built to put pressure on a secondary.
Ja’Marr Chase — WR, Cincinnati Bengals — 99 OVR
Ja’Marr Chase remains among Madden’s elite. Speed, separation and explosive playmaking make him one of the premier offensive weapons in Madden 27 and a matchup that defenses will have to account for on every snap.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — WR, Seattle Seahawks — 99 OVR
Jaxon Smith-Njigba reaches the 99 Club after a huge rise into the NFL’s elite. Seattle users enter Madden 27 with a receiver capable of taking over games and forcing opponents to rethink how aggressively they want to play coverage.
Trey McBride — TE, Arizona Cardinals — 99 OVR
Trey McBride gives Arizona one of the best matchup pieces in the game. A 99-rated tight end creates problems against linebackers and safeties and gives Cardinals users an elite target in the middle of the field.
Myles Garrett — DE, Los Angeles Rams — 99 OVR
Myles Garrett is the lone defensive player in the opening 99 Club. His presence gives Los Angeles another superstar and makes the Rams one of the most interesting teams on paper, with 99-rated talent on both sides of the ball.
What the 99 Club Means for Madden 27
A 99 Overall rating is more than another number. These players sit at the very top of Madden NFL 27 at launch, and their ratings can have an immediate impact on the competitive team-selection conversation.
Buffalo has a 99 quarterback. Cincinnati and Seattle have 99-rated receivers. Arizona has a 99 tight end. The Rams have both Stafford and Garrett at 99 overall.
But inside Madden Underground, ratings only tell part of the story. Having a 99 on the roster can give you an advantage. What matters next is what happens when the game is on the line and another user is sitting across from you.
Madden NFL 27 launches worldwide on August 13, 2026.
